This study analyzes the influence of the Human Development Index (HDI) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on poverty levels in the former Pekalongan Residency from a sharia economic perspective. The research method uses a quantitative approach with secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and data analysis using SPSS software . The results show that the HDI has a significant effect on poverty reduction at the 5% confidence level, while GRDP has no significant effect. However, both variables simultaneously influence poverty levels. These findings indicate that human development through improvements in education, health, and the economy is more effective in reducing poverty than economic growth alone. From a sharia economic perspective, this study emphasizes the importance of equitable wealth distribution and Islamic-based policies such as zakat to address poverty holistically
